**Vision of Dinajpur Polli Unnayan Prochesta (DPUP):**
The vision of Dinajpur Polli Unnayan Prochesta (DPUP) is to create a society free from exploitation, oppression, and deprivation, where every individual can live in peace and harmony, fostering genuine human relationships.
**Mission Statement:**
Dinajpur Polli Unnayan Prochesta (DPUP) adopts a non-directive, bottom-up, and participatory development approach for the effective implementation of its programs. It emphasizes active people’s participation in needs assessment, planning, implementation, and decision-making to ensure that initiatives are socially accepted, people-oriented, and sustainable. The organization acts as a facilitator, promoting active and equal engagement in the development process.
Initially, DPUP focuses on the impoverished by forming homogeneous groups and organizing distressed and marginalized individuals through rapport building, animation, motivation, and awareness.
Subsequently, it empowers the disadvantaged through education, training, and the sharing of experiences.
Additionally, the organization facilitates the initiation of socio-economic development activities through micro-credit support, ensuring regular income and promoting economic rights and control over resources, particularly for women, with the goal of alleviating poverty, hunger, illiteracy, ill-health, and civic inertia.
Dinajpur Polli Unnayan Prochesta (DPUP) believes that individuals are at the heart of all development efforts and that they are the architects of their own destinies. Hence, the organization’s development philosophy is based on the understanding that the primary need of people is not relief but release. DPUP strives to unlock their dormant potentialities for personal, social, economic, educational, and civic growth and development. It consistently seeks to form partnerships with other like-minded organizations and underscores the importance of enhancing human dignity, social justice, fraternity, and democratization throughout its development initiatives.
